CHECK OUT OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All the questions below are compiled from our most common questions asked with our direct answers. We try our best to provide answers that are simple, and get to the point.
What types of roofs can you restore?
Any type, really! Colorbond, tiles, iron or aluminium roofs, including asbestos and decramastic roofs.
Does your heat-reflective paint work only on roofs?
Absolutely not! Our Roofguard Solar Reflect range is applicable to roofs and external walls, which complements solar systems and other eco-solutions in your home.
I would like to paint the roof, but I don’t like the bright white and I still want a cooler interior of the house...
We offer more than one colour! We have a core range of colours (all heat-reflective) and we can bring samples to you so you can see and feel the product before you make a choice.
My roof is rusty. Can you fix it and paint it?
Sometimes we can, sometimes we cannot. There are many conditions and symptoms that go into consideration when inspecting your roof, but no matter the answer, you are guaranteed to get an honest advice.
I was told that my roof needs replacement. Can you give me a second opinion?
Of course, we can. We have gathered experience and knowledge over the years and if your roof can be restored we will tell you so. If the roof needs a replacement we will also tell you so… and if your roof can wait a few more years we will tell you so!
What products do you use?
The Roofguard Solar Reflect products are corporately made and owned and no other applicator or supplier can purchase, sell or apply our materials.
Can you just paint my roof and save on cost?
Roofguard applies Roofguard coatings strictly in accordance with our Manufacturer’s specifications and industry standards. By following those two benchmarks we are able to offer 10 years Warranty on product and workmanship.
Are you licensed and insured tradesman?
Roofguard is licenced by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission to operate in the field of roof restoration, roof painting, internal and external painting. We are covered by up to $20Mil by our Public Liability Insurance.
Are you a franchised business?
Nope. Roofguard was born and bred in Townsville. The owners are local and have operated in the Townsville district for over 38 years pioneering and utilising the most advanced roof cleaning and application technology existing in the field of protective roof coatings.
How much does it cost to repaint my roof?
It depends on size, material, the degree of difficulty, colour, repairs needed, expectations and so on. Despite all the variables, one thing is for certain: We will charge you a fair price – neither of us will be broke at the end of it!
Now that the roof looks brand new, the rest of the house looks shabby. Can you paint it with your heat-reflective product?
Yes we can. We can match colours to your preferred palette and we can match your walls to your furniture, your gutters to your window frames or your driveway to your gutters.
